Cara & John's Wedding at Brunch & Cocktail Club, Liverpool
I absolutely love a wedding that does things a little differently, and Cara and John's wedding was exactly that.
Their day began at the beautiful St George's Hall in Liverpool, where they tied the knot before heading across the city to their second venue, Brunch & Cocktail Club on Duke Street.
Although I wasn't performing at their ceremony, I was already at their second venue getting everything set up and ready for their arrival. And what a venue to spend an afternoon in!
Brunch & Cocktail Club is such a gorgeous, fun space and was the perfect setting for the kind of celebration Cara and John had planned.
As their wedding wasn't following a traditional structure, we created a bespoke package to suit their day rather than trying to fit their plans around a standard wedding entertainment package. They booked me for two 45-minute sets.
The first was designed to create atmosphere while everyone settled in, caught up with friends and family and enjoyed the celebrations. Think relaxed, feel-good live music that added to the atmosphere without taking over.
Then came set two.
And this is where things really started to change.
The brief was simple - Let's get the party started!
We gradually turned the energy up, and by the end of the second set, Brunch & Cocktail Club had completely transformed.
Glowsticks were out.
Light-up wristbands were on.
The dancefloor was full.
And everyone was properly getting involved.
This is exactly why I love being able to create bespoke wedding packages. Not every couple wants a traditional ceremony, drinks reception, wedding breakfast and evening reception. Some couples want something completely different, and your entertainment should be able to work around that.
Cara and John were such a lovely couple, and it was an absolute pleasure to be part of their celebrations.
Their wedding at St George's Hall followed by a party at Brunch & Cocktail Club was such a brilliant combination, and the whole day had such a fun, relaxed and personal feel to it.
Liverpool has so many incredible wedding venues and spaces for couples who want to do things differently, and this was a perfect example of that.
Cara and John, thank you so much for having me. What a party!
And thank you to the team at Brunch & Cocktail Club for being so lovely to work alongside.
If you're planning a Liverpool wedding and your day doesn't quite fit the traditional wedding format, don't worry. Your live music doesn't have to either. Bespoke packages can be created around your plans, whether that's one set, two sets, live music throughout the day or something completely different.
Now, where can I get some more glowsticks?
