Jessica & Aaron's Wedding at The Parkes Estate, Cheshire
I think it's safe to say that Jessica and Aaron's wedding has introduced me to one of my new favourite wedding venues.
Welcome to The Parkes Estate in Cheshire.
This beautiful rural venue is still relatively new to the wedding scene, and incredibly, Jessica and Aaron's wedding was only the fourth wedding ever to be held there. If this is the standard they're setting already, I have no doubt they'll become one of Cheshire's most sought-after wedding venues. If you're currently searching for your dream venue, this one absolutely deserves a place on your viewing list.
I was booked to perform throughout Jessica and Aaron's wedding breakfast, but there was a little twist...
I was a surprise for the groom!
To keep everything under wraps, I arrived bright and early before any guests or the happy couple were on site. This gave me plenty of time to unload, set up, and complete my soundcheck completely undercover before disappearing again.
With a little time to spare, I headed off to explore the nearby village of Audlem while I waited for the celebrations to get underway. Safe to say, it made for a pretty lovely office for the morning!
I returned just as the drinks reception was coming to an end. The couple had chosen to hold their speeches outside in the sunshine before everyone made their way inside for the wedding breakfast.
Once the speeches had finished, it was over to me.
I welcomed everyone into the room before introducing the brand new Mr and Mrs, and we got the celebrations underway in style.
Their entrance song was Where Is My Husband? by RAYE, and honestly, what a choice!
It worked so well as a wedding breakfast entrance and had everyone smiling from the very first note.
As guests settled into their seats and food began to be served, I gradually brought the energy down with some relaxed background music, creating the perfect atmosphere while everyone enjoyed their meal.
Then, just as I always love to do, we slowly built the energy back up.
Song by song, the atmosphere grew.
Guests started singing along.
People began clapping from their tables.
And before long... you can probably guess what happened next.
The space between the tables became the dancefloor.
One of my favourite things about performing during a wedding breakfast is watching those natural moments unfold. Nobody is expected to dance. Nobody is being forced onto the floor. The atmosphere simply builds on its own until people can't help but get involved.
Jessica and Aaron had chosen such a fantastic mix of songs that there really was something for everyone. From laid-back acoustic moments to feel-good party favourites, every song helped tell the story of their day and created such a fun atmosphere.
I'll share their full wedding breakfast setlist below, exactly as it was performed, along with all of the wonderful suppliers who helped make their day so special.
Jessica and Aaron, thank you so much for trusting me to be part of your wedding day. It was an absolute pleasure to celebrate with you both, and I wish you a lifetime of happiness together.
