Chloe & Conor's Wedding at Oak Tree of Peover | A Full Day Wedding Package
Some weddings are simply unforgettable, and Chloe and Conor's wedding at Oak Tree of Peover was exactly that.
I had the pleasure of providing my full day wedding package, meaning I was there from the very first guest arriving for the ceremony right through to welcoming the evening guests, providing the soundtrack to every chapter of their day.
We began with the ceremony, and honestly... this was unlike any ceremony I've performed before.
The beautiful bride, Chloe, choseSo Easy To Fall In Love by Olivia Dean for her bridal party entrance before walking down the aisle to I'm In Love With You by The 1975.
Now, anyone who knows that song will know it isn't your typical acoustic aisle song!
As soon as I saw it on their music choices, I knew I wanted to do something a little different. I created my own bespoke backing track, stripping everything right back to create a softer, more intimate version while still keeping the magic of the original.
It worked beautifully.
In fact... writing this blog has reminded me that I really need to get this one professionally recorded because it may have just become one of my favourite aisle songs.
Once the happy tears had been shed, it was time for the register signing... and once again, Chloe and Conor decided to do things a little differently.
Traditionally, couples choose slower, relaxed songs for this part of the ceremony, and I usually recommend exactly that.
Not these two.
They were completely set on keeping the energy high, and after chatting through their ideas together, we all agreed to give it a go.
Their choices?
Best Of My Love: The Emotions, September: Earth, Wind and Fire, and Thinking Of You: Sister Sledge.
All absolute classics.
The atmosphere instantly lifted, guests were smiling, singing along, and it perfectly reflected Chloe and Conor's personalities.
One of my favourite moments from the entire day happened during these songs.
While the witnesses were signing the register, I managed to capture the sweetest video of Chloe and Conor sharing a little dance with their newborn baby.
Honestly, my heart is still so full watching it back, even as I'm writing this a week later.
Before long, it was time for me to perform my own little sprint across the beautiful grounds of Oak Tree of Peover.
Round two...
Drinks reception.
Thankfully, I'd already planned ahead. One thing I always prioritise during my full day weddings is making every transition as seamless as possible.
Before guests had even arrived that morning, I'd already set up my main PA system inside for the wedding breakfast, meaning all I needed to do throughout the day was make a couple of quick adjustments between locations.
People often ask why I own so much sound equipment.
Well... this is exactly why!
With four PA systems and multiple wireless microphone options, I can move around a venue effortlessly without spending half the day packing down and setting back up.
The result is uninterrupted live music and a much smoother experience for everyone.
The weather couldn't quite decide what it wanted to do, but Oak Tree of Peover has the most fantastic covered veranda overlooking the gardens, meaning guests could still enjoy being outside without worrying about the odd shower.
A couple of hours, one J2O, plenty of acoustic favourites and lots of sunshine in between the clouds later, it was time for the wedding breakfast.
The newlyweds made their entrance to Gimme! Gimme! Gimme! by ABBA.
What.
A.
Moment.
Napkins were flying through the air, everyone was on their feet, and the room was already buzzing before dinner had even been served.
The speeches followed, giving me a rare opportunity to sit down for a few minutes and recharge.
No matter how many weddings I perform at, speeches still get me.
I always find myself smiling along with everyone else, and it's moments like these that remind me I've definitely chosen the right career.
As guests enjoyed their starters and mains, I brought the atmosphere back down with relaxed acoustic music.
One question I'm asked all the time is how my upbeat wedding breakfasts actually work?
The answer is simple.
You probably don't want to be halfway through your beef stroganoff while I'm belting out Freed From Desire!
That's why I always allow plenty of time for guests to enjoy their meal, catch up with family and friends, and soak in the atmosphere before gradually building the energy back up.
Every wedding is different, and I always read the room before deciding when it's the right time.
Chloe and Conor's guests didn't need much encouragement.
Before long, everyone was singing, clapping and joining in.
Then it was time for one final move…
I headed back outside with my wireless PA while the DJ and saxophonist prepared inside for the evening celebrations.
By now, the weather had decided to drizzle ever so slightly.
Did anybody care? Absolutely not.
If anything, it made the atmosphere even better.
After such a warm day, dancing in the rain was actually quite refreshing!
We kept the energy high throughout the evening guest arrival, and somehow... we finished with the groom being lifted into the air while everyone danced to Livin' La Vida Loca by Ricky Martin.
Yes. That genuinely happened.
What an incredible way to round off an unforgettable day.
Chloe and Conor, thank you so much for trusting me to be part of your wedding from beginning to end. It was an absolute pleasure to celebrate alongside you, your wonderful family and friends, and such a fantastic team of suppliers.
Oak Tree of Peover is an incredible Cheshire wedding venue, and I can't wait to return.
